Sixth Form Welfare Team
Ms R Chellat - Counsellor
The School Counsellor is here to help you explore feelings and emotions that are often related to your experiences.
This allows you to reflect on what is happening and to consider alternative ways of doing things. Ms Chellat works in a confidential setting and will offer you the time, empathy and respect you need in order to express your feelings and perhaps understand yourself from a different perspective. The aim is to reduce confusion and to enable you to cope with challenges, or to make positive changes in your life where necessary. You can contact Ms Chellat yourself, or you can be referred by a parent or carer, a teacher, or an outside agency.
Ms C Hibbert - School Mentor
The school mentor offers a weekly drop in service at Franklin House to support students with strategies for wellbeing and coping with adult life.
Mrs A Martineau - School Nurse
The School Nurse can see you in or out of school and can advise on all kinds of topics, including mental health, emotional wellbeing, sexual health, smoking, and health and lifestyle choices.
We provide a confidential service, which means we will not share your personal information without your permission (this includes with parents or teachers). We will only pass on information in order to prevent you or someone else from serious harm, but whenever possible we would discuss this with you first. If you want to make an appointment with the School Nurse, please speak to the school office, your form tutor or head of year.
